Extended 100k powertrain warrenty yeah right!

Please dont believe the hype of a 100k warrranty that Kia motors offers.
The warranty is bogus by my standards heres the story of the great service
that Kia and Sparks Kia gave me

I was Driving down a local street going to a job interview when I noticed a
person trying to flag me down. I rolled my window down and he said I had water pouring out of my car. I thanked him and Immediatly pulled off the road.
Sure enough there was a bad water leak, the Y pipe had busted. (Notice!!! The temperature guage has not gone up above opperating temp at any time!!!)
I called Kia Roadside Assistance and waited for the tow truck to come and take it to the local dealership where I had purchased the vehicle.
Sparks Kia confirmed the leak saying the Y pipe had indeed broken on the back of the engine, COST $275.00-300.00 to repair. I thought it was high too! It only took a day to fix.

So Sparks Kia repaired the Y pipe so they said, and returned my vehicle to me. When cranking the vehicle I noticed the engine ran very badly missing continously untill it warmed up, then it smoothed out. I asked the service manager for Sparks Kia what the problem was. He said ohh it just needs a tune up (trying to get rid of me!) (NOTE! This engine ran like a sewing machine prior to the Y pipe leaking!!!) I kind of knew what the problem (Blown Head Gasket) was being a mechanic all my life I really just wanted to hear what the service manager had to say about it. So I left Sparks Kia to go home. I drove the vehicle sparingly for a couple of days while the missing had gotten worse! I took the vehicle back to Sparks Kia to complain about the engine missing and it had gotten worse, again I was told it needed a tune up to get rid of me again! So then I called the Shreveport Kia dealership and I was told that there would be no charge for the diagnosis if they repaired the vehicle, I took the Kia Sorento to Shreveport Kia dealership for another diagnosis, and told them that I was getting the run around from Sparks Kia in Monroe La. After a couple of hours they said the head gasket was blown!!! (Note I was told there would be no diagnosis if they repaired the vehicle!!! I guess I was stupid enough to believe them too) After the diagnosis I was told by the service manager there that she would rather Sparks Kia in monroe do the repair on the vehicle and it would be a month before they could get to work on the vehicle that they had just gotten a bunch of recalls to do and did I want to leave my vehicle with them. Knowing that I couldnt leave my vehicle with them I refused the repair then was hit with an $90.00 bill for diagnosis. Stunned, I paid the bill and headed back to Sparks Kia in Monroe to gripe again 3rd time there!!! They finally diagnose the vehicle with a blown head gasket and it would be covered under warranty!!! Thats been almost 3 weeks of waiting to get the vehicle fixed! NOW thats Service!!! After a week of having the vehicle Sparks Kia calls me and said they are sending the head off for repairs that a valve was damaged. After another week of waiting they call me back and say the head repair was not going to be covered under the extended powertrain warranty and if I wanted to have the head fixed I would have to pay for it myself. Then I call William Sparks the owner of Sparks Kia and tell him the story he seemed uncaring on the phone as well as the service manager did in the beginning. Finally I am still trying to get my vehicle back from Sparks Kia its only been 3 weeks dealing with these guys

So before you consider buying a Kia vehicle In the Monroe/Shreveport area remember that Willian Sparks owns Both of these dealerships and a couple more from what Ive heard. So do some research before you buy a vehicle
with this wonderful 100k warranty! That is basically worthless! From the get go.

P.S. You know Sparks Kia smiled real big when I paid cash for the 22k for the Sorento! And even thanked me and shook my hand
