Company charges you 50 a pop in late fees with no grace period and you do not find out until you are about 3 months behind according to them then houston

My husband leased a van through them in july of everything was perfect until our son got sick, so in january we were running about a week behind on payments, i got a call from chrysler in april about the situation, explain to her what was going on and we would be caught up soon, did not know that we supposedly didn't have a grace period, so we were getting charged about $50a pop every week in late fees, so friday 8-15-08, i get a call from a rude man, saying we owed 967 dollars on our car note, of course our 539.18 car note is not due until 8-25-08. So of course i asked him what the hell you talking about we are not that behind on our note. I was them informed that we had 286 worth of late fees, and that we did not have a grace period, and that i will have to pay 539.18 on 8-21-08, and another 539.18 on 8-29-08, of course i was not happy, i asked the man had he talked to my husband, and he said yeah, he was very quiet when he answered, so i knew that my husband had probably cussed him out up and down, and was pissed off, i told him whatever my husband says goes, so my husband decided he was going to get another vehicle, and give them their piece of junk back, between my husband and i we have paid off 4 vehicles, and this is the first we are letting go back, what does that tell you about this finance company
