Predatory lending

We have been trying to pay off a car for 2 months now. The first check was for the "wrong amount. As would be the following four checks sent. Each one being recieved "after" the no later than date. What this company does is, has us mail a check to another company which in turn cashes it and pays them. Each of the "late" payments was fed-ex'd overnight, but appearently took 2 weeks to reach them. We know that the checks were cashed the next day after talking to my bank. And the battle continues to pay off $22,000 for a $11,000 car...
