Have no idea what they are doing

Went to try and by a car. They advertised we finance. Went in and talked to them. They were very nice offered to let me drive the car all night with thirty day tags on it. They said it was mine. All I had to do was to go to the bank in the morning and finish up the paperwork, they would have it at the bank waiting for me. When I went to the bank they did not know anything about this dealer so of course they did not have any paperwork. I really wanted the car so I tryed to get the loan from the bank. They said I would need a down payment. I went back to the dealer after discussing the down payment I would pay they told me that would be fine and to go back to the bank. The bank then told me that the car was too old and that it had to many miles and that now I would need a co-signer. It is bad enough when you are told right off that you can't have the car that you really want but when you take a day off from work, run all over town trying to work out the details and then they say, "oh well that just how it goes sometime", that really sucks. If a company if going to offer financing they should make the bank aware and get their ducks all in a row so they are not wasting your time and money.
