I took my car to a midas service center located on Ford Road, Canton. I took my car for an oil change and brake check and engine diagnostic. The manager ran the disgnostic check and charged me $68.00 for it but didn't mention it to me when asked for the service. He then told me that I need to fix 2 things in my car to solve the problem. I need to change the oxygen sensor and fuel injection. He charged me $186.00 for the oxygen sensor which was only priced between $62-$86 online. They took a total of $700.00 for repairing my car along with oil change and guess what I still have the problem and the following day my check engine light was "ON" again. So, I decided to call the customer care and they told me that for price they can charge me anyhting they want and they will only run a diagnostic check and if they the problem is not oxygen sensor then I will again have to pay $70.00 for it.
So, guys I learned my lesson please don't take your car or any vechile to MIDAS. There is nothing as MIDAS all the places are individually owned Franchisee and they can do whatever they want basically screw your car.
They did the same thing with my friend. After he got his oil changed from the same location same day with me, he started having problem with his transmission and then when he complained the manager said that he already had that problem when he brough the car in. Then my question was why didn't his workers informed us when they checked it and drove it around as a courtsey check. They also for got to place the wire that pulls the pumps the gas...
Guess what the lady at the customer care told me that we should do more research before taking our car for oil change... in other word don't trust what they say in their commercials.
