Rebel Truck Stop
Beware all trucks/motorhomes/autos! Ripoff truck stop/station!

On July 20, I needed to fill my motorhome on the trip home. I try to always go to Truck Stops as it is a much quicker fill with the larger nozzles for diesel. When I looked at the gauge on the meter, I noticed that it was over 100 gallons.By the time I turned it off, it showed 108.181 gallons ($527.82), which I found a bit odd considering my tank is 100 gallons! When I asked the clerk about it, she just shrugged it off and said, well, my car has a 12 gallon tank and when I fill up here, it goes to 13... I sort of looked at her and said "DUH"... I asked for the owner/manager and he wasn't there, so got his phone number.

Monday morning, I called him to ask exactly how this could happen and he was quite rude and said that all tanks fill more than they say, in fact his truck is 18 gallons and fills to 18.5. My response to that was, well that's a huge difference of 8.151 gallons over when the tank wasn't totally empty! When I told him I'd just report it to the Attorney General and the Weights and Measures Dept, his reply was, "go ahead, I know Dave very well".

I have contacted two different TV stations in hope to bring awareness to all consumers that this is going on. As of this morning, no response from either.

I have associates with truck driver husbands, fathers, brothers that will be putting this truck stop on their owner operator website as well.

Not only does this effect each of us at the pump, it increases the price of the products that the trucks are delivering to each of us when we purchase those products.

This dude screwed the wrong person!
