Midwest Express
Won't refund ticket with medical excuse

Cars & Transport

I scheduled a July flight back in May. Last week, I had abdominal surgery and was told I caanot fly (or do much anything else) for six weeks. Midwest wanted to reissue the ticket within one year, and with a letter from the physician, "maybe" waive the reissue fee. Sounds somewhat reasonable right? Midwest is on the verge of bankruptcy and per news reports, is not likely to be in business within three weeks. So I'm supposed to be stuck with a reissue of a useless ticket? Not!
