Ripoff Defective transmission? Liars!

I own a 1997 K1500 Ext. Cab, 4X4 pickup. It shifts hard between first and second gears after it heats up. I have done a lot of research on this and found out that everybody and anybody that has this 4L60E transmission has had the same problem. Couple of guys stated that they contacted GM and they deny any defects with the transmission but suggested the upgrade parts. If there is no known defect then why did they make upgraded parts for it? Liars and ripoffs!!!
