I called this dealership and spoke with a salesman on the phone to ask what the rebates ranged from, Oliver Summonds to me across the board they ranged from $4000-$9000 so I went to this dealership on 6/28/08 with the assumption that I would not get approved for a new vehicle and if I did it would be with at least a $4000 rebate. Once I picked one out they started playing the numbers game and came out with a payment of $580 I told them no thanks its not worth it I'd rather just leave with my car that I was trading in. They then said what if I can get you a payment of $485 with 0%apr. I laughed at the guy and said your crazy that wont happen I'd rather just save my day and go on home. He pushed me into letting him try it out. Low and behold he came back and said we did it. I then went back to the finance guy happy as could be and said so this is for real... 0%apr and payments of $485 he said no the payments will be $468. My face lit up with joy I was so happy. I asked again and again making sure this was a done deal. So I enjoy the truck for sunday and monday then realize the payments for 72 month equal way more than I expected for a final price. (Which by the way they did not give my contract that I signed, they told me it would be mailed to me). So I decided to call and just see if I was missing some numbers somewhere and figure it out. They then said oh someone was supposed to call you on monday we need you to come back in a sign new paperwork, we didn't get you approved for the 0%. I said well what does that change and he said your apr will be 14.1% but your payments will be the same. I asked how long it would take, he said about 20-30min. I drive an hour back up there because I live so far away and get told to hold tight for a little bit. An hour goes by and I start bugging people finally they take me back to talk about it but I end up sitting back there another 30min before they finally tell me my payments have gone up to $572. I simply handed them their keys and asked for my trade in back.
