Cars & Transport

Took my car in months ago to meinke in middletown ohio, for making a strange noise, the mechanic Bob stated that the noise was probally a minor blockage in the heater core. And would be ok. When i asked of the costs & time to replace the heater core, i was treated as if he didn't want to do the job, he said it was exspensive and would take 6-hours in labor. Later on i discovered i was lied to by Bob it wasn't the heater core.in fact it was overheating into the overflow bottle. And later on the car overheated. And i dropped it off at the meinke in middletown ohio, for repair and the mechanic Bob called me the next day that they couldnt get the car to overheat. Claiming they had tested my car with their professional equipment and could find nothing wrong to have caused the car to overheat. Thinking it might be a bad thermostat, i had the the thermostat replaced at a quoted price of $75.00 when i picked my car up the price was now $140.00 when i questioned the double price Bob the mechanic said he forgot to include labor
after leaving the lot thinking the car was repaired. The car later overheated again. And on top of this when i had the car in for a oil change and tune up i was lied to that the seal between the engine and transmission was leaking severly and needed fixed for $400.00-$500.00 yet the mechanic who replaced the thermostat was a young male told me the oil sending unit was the oil leak problem not the earlier lie i was told... I took the car to another mechanic for the oil sending unit & cam sensor to be replaced and the heavy oil leak cleared up. Yet Pete the owner of the meinke repair shop would have taken my $500.00 for a repair that wasn't needed... Recently my car overheated and i had my car towed to meinke in middletown ohio. For the alleged work that was done to my car was under warranty. Yet the next day i recieve a call from pete the owner says nothing of the over heating problem with my car, yet says my engine has a loud knocking noise and i need another engine
that this one was allegedly 4-quarts low on oil. Yet i had just put oil in the engine and everything was fine. And now all of a sudden i need a new motor and the cost would be $2,000.00 or more so a friend and i and a mechanic went to the meinke shop and i got my car key and started the car up and hmm magically there was no knocking the engine was running fine, we let it run for a while and then me and my mechanic took a drive in the car, and amazingly no knocking in the engine and wasn't overheating. Yet the car was overheating when the oil was full, and the antifreeze was full. And the alleged repair was made to correct the overheting problem... And after being out more money and again lied to by Pete, and Bob stating repairs on my car needed that it doesnt need.

I also got a third opinion on this alleged motor replacement. And another mechanic stated that if the engine needed replaced as said, he could do it for $1,400.00
