Charged us an extra day because they were closed!

We rented an rv for three days - thursday, friday, saturday, and would return it on sunday but because they were closed on sunday they charged us a whole extra day even though we tried to return it sunday afternoon. It sat in our driveway and was not used yet they charged an extra day because no one was there to return it to. I think this is very unfair. We have rented from other places before and have always been able to return it on a sunday and not be charged. We went with a large group of people who loved the rv but when found out we were charged an extra day because no one was there to return it to they all agreed this was unfair and would not be using cruise america in the furture. If someone could contact me regarding this matter i would greatly appreciate it. Thank you.
