Rip off misleading quotes hidden charges

On Thursday 06/17/08 i called joes auto to ask about a service quote for my 99 mercedes. I was told the charge would be 49.99, also i wanted a dignostic check and again was Quoted 70.00. I dropped my car off at 9am and was told id have a call in an hour, well 3 phone calls later i was told that we are swamped and i had to bring it in the next day, i day wasted. On the 18 i brought my car in and was assured i would have it later that day. No phone call. I called and was told that we are just getting it in. An hour later i called and was told that the charge had just gone up 20.00 because of a special oil filter. I had enough told them i would be in to pick up my car. The day before i was told i would not be charged for the diagnostic check because i had to wait. When i went in to pick up my vehicle i was rudley informed that i owed 70.00 and could have my car released until i paid the bill. I asked for my diagnostic report and was given a hand written one??? Whats with that. I also checked at Auto Zone on the oil filter and it was only 8.95 what a mark up. Now that i have talked with a few people i have been infored that this has been going on for years. Please Please, dont go there they will rip you off.
