Pre Certified car scam!!! Lexus of Clearwater scams the public. The dealership lets people believe that the vehicle you're purchasing is pre-certified and had a 161 point inspection. We purchased two Lexus (RX350 and ES330) for a total of $70.000. The vehicles have been in major car accidents without our knowledge or even CARFAX. Lexus has misrepresented the ES330 as it's from out of state, was leased, abused and rusted (when you touch the under body of the vehicle it will crumble.) and unsafe to drive. When we contacted the dealership they agreed to take the car back. After 3 weeks of waiting the sales person called us to exchange the vehicle. When we arrived they had no new car for us, they refused to give our car back. We had to contact the police to come and help us. We contacted Lexus Corporation and the answer we received was that all dealerships are owned privately and there is nothing they can do. We contacted the State Motor vehicle Department of Highway and Safety. The answer was they only are interested if the vehicle registration was registered within 30 days. The department does not care if the dealership sold unsafe motor vehicles it is a civil matter find an attorney, they said. We contacted Attorney Morgan and Morgan they informed us since this is not an injury case and there are no millions or at least hundreds of thousands of dollars involved they cannot help.
