Dishonest dealers, rude people, STAY AWAY

I wouldn't have written up this report if I hadn't already read the other two on here. My story isn't nearly as bad as the guy whose engine blew up 2 days after he purchased his vehicle, and my a/c was working, but I was completely unsatisfied with Maximum Deals as a whole.

I purchased a vehicle for 10,000 from Maximum Deals about a month ago. I live in Maryland, and was told that the vehicle was up to date with Maryland inspection. I inquired about a missing battery cover, but was told that it was unnecessary to pass the inspection and that my battery would be fine. Lo and behold, when I go to get an inspection I have to pay to replace the battery cover. Not a big deal, but dishonest dealers.

In addition to this, my right front stud (i'm not sure what this is, I'm not very car knowledgeable) is broken so badly that I need to go to a Honda dealer for repairs so they can use a special air hammer to repair it. This is projected to cost at least $200.

These two issues alone are not deal breakers, they're just evidence of a dishonest business. Dealing with Maximum Deals has been a struggle, and I've been repeatedly lied to on the phone about things as tame as when my title would get here ("We sent it out yesterday, it will be there tomorrow." Meanwhile my title had been sitting at the post office for 2 weeks and the idiot on the phone didn't even bother to check the file).

Whenever I call, the first question is whether I paid cash or financed the vehicle, as if they're deciding how cooperative they have to be based on how I paid.

In short, DO NOT BUY FROM MAXIMUM DEALS. Do not continue to give these liars more business. Good luck to the two others who have been cheated, I'm hoping that my transmission doesn't fall out later today...
