We paid $1,020.00 and AC still broke! Cancer patient needs help!

My sister has breast cancer and has to travel a long distance to her treatments often, she is suffering emotionally and financially due to the cost of cancer treatments, surgeries etc. Her Air Conditioner went out on her DODGE van and she has no money. I offered to help her pay to fix it.

We took it to Southern Crysler Dodge Jeep in Lufkin, Tx. They claim on their website to employee expert technicians and charge a non refundable $80 fee for their expert diagnosis. First they called and said it is a switch and will cost $300, I agreed to pay, next they called to say no its the compressor and they need over $1,000.

I called the manager Dale and explained my sister's hard time and he offered to discount $300. I asked so this will for sure fix everything right and he said absolutely. I paid them $733.00. Next they called my sister and asked for another $287.00 (unbelieveable) and she paid them. She took the van home and AC was in same broke condition - No AC.

She took it back and they called to ask for ANOTHER $825.00. WE SAID NO so Manager Dale calls to offer to pay half of the $825.00. We sais NO we don't have another $412. Now we are stuck we have paid them a total of $1,020.00 and the AC does not work at all and my poor sister has to continue to drive in 90 degree weather with sweat pooring off her out of town for her cancer treatments and surgeries.

This is so unbelievable to me. It seems they hooked us in with first the $80 fee to check, its non refundable but convieniently can be applied to work done, then to say its only $300 then say over $1,000 then have the nerve to try to get another $825.00. If they had first quoted us $1,800 we would have said here is your $80 BYE BYE.

NOW they have our $1,020.00 and we have a non working AC and they suposedly have expert technicians, how can this be true? I believe they misdiagnosed the repairs not one time but 4 times as evidenced by them asking for $300 for switch, then the $1,000 for compressor, then the $287 for blower then the $825 for a condensor leak. If anyone has any ideas what we can do please let us know.
