Now I am wondering about my loan safety

After reading all the complaints, I am unsure of my auto loan. I had the bad experience of paying off a loan once and them tacking on more money, better research my payments and ck amount on principle and interest. Is americredit doing this to me or should I refinance with another company. Cash payoff doesn't seem to be going down need to know which amt goes on principle and what to interest now. Can I worry now or unload the truck. This is very scary for seniors who live on fixed income and payments are very high ok
