Crescent Bank & Trust, Louisiana
Do not do business with them

Cars & Transport

As it turns out I was told by the dealership that this company was a good company to do business with if your credit was less than perfect. Being a single parent and on a budgeted income I had to take the loan. The first year was great, no problems what so ever. The second year I ran in to a little difficulty and kept them informed that my payment was going to be a little behind but it would include any late payment fees neccessary. Well, apparently last month my check was late getting to the New Orleans mailing address, though I had sent the check with plenty of time for processing before my due date. I was called by a Mr. Bob Phillips who immediately started in with "Is the only number you can be reached at?" "is this... Your mailing address?" "what is your business address?" I told him that I was at work and could not speak to him at the moment and he ignored me and began to get ruder again asking me the same questions. I repeated that I could not speak to him at that time, and he said "Never mind I will get the address myself." I told him that I would call him when I got home and had to hang up. I called when I got home and got stuffed in to some generic voice mail. I figured for sure I would have gotten another call, but I didn't, so I called again, and again was put in to a generic voice mail box, so I left another message. I did not know his name at the time. So being a new week, I said forget it and mailed my payment out (on Tuesday) and tried to call Crescent Bank and Trust again with no luck. Go figure, Tuesday evening they showed up at my house and repo'd my vehicle. So the next day I called and I had a really nice woman named Erica answer the phone who told me his name and then transferred me to him. He didn't answer so I left a voice mail, by now I am getting upset. Well Bob called back about two hours later and apparently did not like my tone on the last phone call and insinuated that was the reason that they repo'd my vehicle. Beyond that he was spewing all sorts of figures at me telling me I owe them 800 for one thing and another 127 for late fees, and another 470 for the impound and towing fees and when I asked him what the bottom line was for the amount he said he didn't like my tone and then ended the call. So, I called back and he didn't answer his phone. I left another couple of messages today, and go figure, no call back. Someone needs to put this company out of business. I think that if we all come together on this company we can end their torment on people that have just had a run of bad luck.
