What a disappointment

I've had 3 sets of Cragar classic mag wheels. The first set lasted many years, the past 2 sets don't even make it 3 years. My car is a 70 Chevelle SS, and I like the look of the Cragars, but the chrome flakes off, pits within a year, and then the rust shows up. The car is garaged, never driven in water, snow, salt, etc. I called the company, and they merely said I was using wax on the chrome and that is the reason they rusted. So now I guess I'll look to another company... I can't afford to spend $600 every 2 years. What a disappointment! It used to be such a fine product! I'll tell the other members of the Chevelle Club I'm in as well.
