Faulty Workmanship

Rvers please note. While traveling north to Alaska we had the unfortunate experience that our tow vehicle developed a growling noise in the rear end. We had an even worse experience of having Barry Chevrolet-Chrysler-Dodge-Jeep, 548 S Basin, Ephrata, WA 98823 attempt repairs in the amount of $962.06. We later found out the problem was diagnosed by ear only, no teardown for inspection.

Due to sloppy repair practices and lack of product knowledge by Barry Chevrolet-Chrysler-Dodge-Jeeps best mechanics, we left not knowing the growling noise was still there and we now had two defects caused by their best mechanics. One defect put the safety of my wife and I in jeopardy while pulling our 12,000 LB camper. We paid out of pocket to have the defects corrected. I requested reimbursement from Barry Chevrolet-Chrysler-Dodge-Jeep and was told flat out they do not reimburse out of pocket expenses.

We contacted Dodge and were told they do not become involved in workmanship issues. We contacted the Better Business Bureau and the Attorney generals office for the State of Washington only to find out they do not have enforcement powers. We contacted Action Line at Trailer Life; they sent one letter and closed our file, so much for their support. If you have repairs made to your vehicle in the State of Washington the only hope you have is the honesty and integrity of the repair facility.

As of today Barry Chevrolet-Chrysler-Dodge-Jeep have refused to demonstrate their willingness to act as a responsible member of the Ephrata business community and compensate us for our out of pocket expense due to their faulty workmanship.
