80 year old Grandmother, SWINDLED

My father is 60 years old and is suffering from a list of ailments. He is a disabled Veteran after 23 years of military service. My grandmother is 80 years old. I have 17 1/2 years in the military and was medivaced out of Farah Afghanistan (in support of Enduring Freedom, my third deployment October 23rd. After exstensive rehabilitation, I am prepared to leave Ft. Huachuca, Arizona and rejoin the civilian life as a disabled Veteran.

The other day I phone my father to let him know how I was doing. We talked for a while and then he told me that Grandmother had just purchased a 2007 Murano S, with 20,600 miles on it. Having sold cars as a closer for 2 1/2 years, something was strange to me about the price. He said she paid $33, xxx (pre tax and any fees) for it. According to, this vehicle has a trade-in value of $17,300 if it is in excellent condition. $16,000 in Good condition and $14,200 if in fair condition. My grandmothers credit is 739. They financed ithe note at 8.5% and had her put $1,000 down. Kelly Blue Book is the bible of all car dealerships. If they were to trad this vehicle in to another dealership, I can almost guarentee that they would get a price of somewhere below good and fair, or just fair.
