I went to Fitzgerald, my local Toyota dealership, with a broken security lock remote control. I bought a new battery for it there and the nice man at service desk changed it for me. The remote still didn't work, so he examined it again and said a chip was smashed. After hearing all the work involved in getting a new one to the tune of approximately $300, maybe more, I set the first appointment available with ther service shop, which was two weeks later, and went home with a broken remote that had a new battery in it.
After second thoughts and some research and great advice, I cancelled the appointment and went to Best Buy. There, I got a brand new Viper system, including installation, for $132.00.
There's more - - that is the first incident.
