Continental Warranty - If you are in the market for an extended warranty stay clear of this company

In December of I purchased a "Factory Plus" warranty from continental warranty for $2,268.00 for my 2003 mercedes benz E320.in November I brought the car in for service to the Mercedes Benz dealership. They informed me that the "thrust -arm bushings" or "torque struts"had to be replaced. A claim was filed with continental warranty. The work could not be done until an adjuster examined the car. After three days an adjuster examined the car and the claim was denied. According to the declaration page "control arms, control arm shafts, bearings and bushings, radius arm and bushings, wheel bearings, stabilizer bar, link and bushings, torsion bars are covered. According to continental warranty, these bushings are not covered.in any case I decided to have the bushings replaced at my cost and then cancelled the policy. I sent a registered letter requesting the cancellation. This was delivered on November 19. I sent them a copy of the repair order which provided the current odometer reading so that they could caluculate the prorated refund. After two months, I called to inquire about my refund. I was informed that a check would be mailed to me in March. When I asked why it was not going to be mailed until March, four months after the concellation, I was told that that is normal and routine!

Buyer beware. This company takes your premium, denies payment and then holds onto your money for an additional four months, before they say "the check will be mailed"!!
