Texas Auto Shippers TAS - Ms. Merritt Absolutely the WORST customer service

I have used many Auto Transport companies in my day. But have found TAS (Texas Auto Shippers) to be the absolute worst in customer relations. A fellow that did the intake for me named Will was an OK guy. The broker service selected a friendly and courteous driver named Ken. TAS is an auto shipper broker service, they don't actually own any trucks but contract drivers to pick up and deliver vehicles. Anyway, there was a problem after the drop off. A large stone chip in the windshield... I actually fixed it in 20 minutes with a $4 kit from Autozone so essentially not real big deal. However, when I called to report this I got a lot of ugly e-mail. No language like "Geee, we are so sorry that happened." or "This is beyond our control, but let us offer you "X" as compensation for your trouble."... Not even a simple little "I'm sorry." That was really all I was asking. I knew their policies and claims on "act of god" issues. None the less I didn't relent on my mission for a simple apology. AND things got even worse. The customer service rep actually insinuated that I lied in reporting the windshield crack.

That further infuriated me. How can someone like that be placed in a position that will affect a business in such a negative way? In my line of business that person would either be fired or re-educated. So my suggestions is to AVOID TAS at all costs. These brokers are a dime-a-dozen and why waste your time with a company that does not value it's customers. Shop around and find a 5-star rated business that "knows" customer service.
