Geico does not live up to it's promises on T.V. Adds, newspapers and Billboards. It lies

I have been a loyal customer of Geico for the past several years. Thousands of my heard earned money fill their coffers. I have been a safe driver for over twenty years. No tickets, no accidents, no claims. Unfortunately, I was involved in a car accident recently. The other driver, at fault, did not own the car and his sister only has PD (Property Damage).

I called Geico, my insurance carrier and their decision is to consider the car a total loss, give me a few hundred dollars and send me on my way. How dare they. I am a 62 years old male, barely surviving this lousy economy and I depend on my 1996 Honda Accord 100% to get around and earn a living. They offered me $2.800.00, minus the deductable $500.00. I will get $2.300.00. They get the car, car keys and title and then wish me a Happy New Year.

The adjuster has been extremely aggressive in his dealings with me. He wants to settle the claim A.S.A. P and get rid of me, although, they will get every penny back from the driver's sister Insurance Policy. Furthermore, I proved to the adjuster, I had just spent close to $3.000.00 in maintenance on the car. It runs great and it is ALL I have.

Last week, couple days after the accident, Geico sent a tow-truck to pick up my car and demanded the keys and title, even though, there has not been a settlement in this case and I never authorized Geico to pick up my car in the first place. Their responsibility, is to repair my car fully or replace it with another one just like it. That's why I have been paying almost $100.00 per month for the past 10 years.

It is obvious, they are only concern with their best interest, while screwing their customers big time. It's worse than the mob.
