Five years of living heck

January 29 we purchased a vehicle and Triad was the financer, we put $1500 down and the phone calls started with in a week. They kept asking when we were sending our 1st payment which wasn't due until the end of February. We started getting leary because we never had been called on a loan before it was even due. I will admit 5 years ago I wasn't exactly responsible but I did pay my loan but I will admit I was late more then once.

When ever we were late they called 15-20 times a day and let the phone ring over and over again. They would call any day of the week at anytime. They would call friends, neighbors, family and jobs. It was unreal.
We thought that we would be done paying for this loan in august my wife called after my heart attack in July to see if we could pay our payment late and they were not considerate at all so we paid the payment. They claimed our total owed was $1825 so we continued our money gram payment of $378 and was believing that we would be done in January or February 08, when we started getting letters in November threatening to take us to collections because we had been past due $1810.76 since august. Now paying $378 a month for 4 months would make one believe that the $1810 balance would start to go down.

Well we couldn't get a straight answer and was treated very rudely by all their representatives we finally got a settlement offer from them and said everything would be fine for $915. Well as soon as my wife hung up the phone we went to the bank and got the money and did a money gram. Whew we own the vehicle and feel a ton of weight off of our shoulders.

Hmmmmm not so fast this company has such screwed up communication that we got a call about five days later threatening us because our bill is not paid. Well my wife faxes all the paper work and when I call them back to verify they have recieved everything they still don't call back. We paid nearly $28000 for a $16000 vehicle the least they could do is have some dignity and return a phone call.

I'm worried what kind of scam they will try to delay us from getting our title. I hope to God I never have any dealings with Triad or Road loans for the rest of my life. They are rude crude and rip offs!!!
