So i bought a 2000 honda civic coupe from the above dealership. When i went to check the car out it had minor body damage. The person who showed the car was nice. But ive learned the hard way. The niceness came because they wanted my money.including taxes, registration, title, etc. I paid roughly $9075.00.

Before i bought the car i made sure there was a bumper to bumper warranty. There was a 2500 miles or 60 day warranty whichever came first. First problem - when i first purchased the car i had to return it about six days later so they could fix the catalytic converter inorder to pass inspection. But they had to order the part.

Second problem - i was given the car two days later than they said i could pick it up. Note this was without the inspection sticker. While i had the car not even a week later (6 days) the drivers side window broke and would not go up. It had come off the track.

I returned to the dealership the very next day. They fixed the window and put on a catalytic converter. I got there at 10:00am and did not leave until 4:30pm or later. Also they had to drive my car in order for it to pass inspection and work properly. I understood this. They did not refill my gas tank, and the service department didnt even tell me, and were going to let me leave almost on E. Only when i noticed and went to the sales rep who sold me the car did they even think of refilling it.

Before the 60 days, and 2500 miles, which was actually december 4th i returnedto the dealership to get it fixed once again. This time the transmission needed tuned up or replaced, the suspension was making grinding noises, either the cv joint, or tie rods, the car was idling high, the passenger window is leaking, and the trunk leaks.

The service department refused to fix the car. Even though i showed them the warranty. They also said in order for them to even look at it i would have to talk to the used car manager. So i proceeded to go find the manager, across the street. When he finally came about 10-20 minutes later i talked to him.

I explained only a partial part of what was wrong with the car and how HIS employee guarenteed and said the car was covered by the warranty when i first bought it. What i got in return was extreme rudeness, and no respect. He told me that it wasnt covered and i was crazy for thinking so. I stated it in this report a polite way.

He knew my car i was talking about and kept saying its not covered and its not their responsibility to fix it rudely. I couldnt even get to all the things wrong with it he disrespected me so much, i had to leave before there was a big big problem.

So commonwealth motors likes to rip people off. I guarentee if i didnt pay cash for the car, i would have been treated better and the car fixed. For paying the amount of money i did to get a car with so many problems and be passed off as a clean no problem car is getting ripped off. Especially since they have not fullfilled their part and uphold the warranty.

I have all the paperwork on the warranty. Everything i needed to get it fixed. But instead i get no respect, and the car is not fixed. I would expect that from a small dealership, but this is supposed to be a very big good dealership. I do not suggest anyone ever buy from this company even if new. The used car manager was one of the rudest people ive ever met.

So the big picture is they sold me a car that they probably knew there were alot of things wrong with it and didnt make me aware of the problems. They lied about the condition of the car. They refuse to uphold a warranty to fix the car. And they were very rude and disrespectful.
