Overcharged for shoddy work and lied about it

Absolute pr*k!

Went to have exhaust system fixed. It was seriously damaged. They offered $250 fix or $500 replacement. Went for fix. 3 days later sounded horrible, took it back. Owner claimed they never did the job at all! Then claimed it was just on 'rear' of system and unrelated to problem in the front. Then stated "my guys would never do that job" because it had muffler glue on top of pipe, but welded bottom. When confronted he admitted that his guy did the work but it wasn't part of the original job "he did it for free as a favor". When shown his own business card with co-owners writing indicating "front of pipe plus labor" he stated that they may have fixed it, but that it would cost an additional $85 to lower system and weld top of pipe.

After Meineke customer service intervened, he agreed to 'fix' for free, but when looking at the system, it had a 4" long bolt with a dozen washers and the nut spot-welded all over the place instead of $8 spring relief joint. Obviously sabotage because the thin bolt is likely to break, thus completely negating the fix. This lame joker denied any responsibility and refuses to look at it any further stating they fixed it and even did more for free. The exhaust is sounding tinny all of a sudden and I'm sure the pipe is leaking.
