Ripoff False and Misleading Advertising

Last month I received an advertising circular in the mail. It was titled "Pit Stop Savings Days" and contained several coupons for Ford Service and Parts. The back of the circular contained the name of the dealership, their address, phone number and hours of operation.

When I presented the coupons to the Service Advisor, he refused to honor them claiming that the circular was published by Ford Corporate without their permission. I understand that the cost of goods and service is higher in Hawaii but they wanted to charge almost twice the amount on each coupon. For example there was a coupon for wiper blades for $19.95 includung installation. They wanted to charge over $33.00.

It seems like the dealership is blaming Ford Corporate and Ford Corporate is blaming the dealership. I think we should determine who is responsible for the false advertising. If it is the dealer, then they should honor the coupons. If it is Ford Corp., then they should cease immediately.
