False insurance claim

I was involved in auto finder bender in 7/20 due to I was learning how to drive. I had offered to pay the person for their damages and they had accepted the money. Then this year I learned that this individual had filed a claim not with my insurance co but only with hers. Now they are trying to recoup payment of her lost they claimed that her vehicle was a total loss and according to secretary of state they salvaged it and tagged to be rebuilt as of 8/25/03. Now they have continue to change the amount of the alleged claim on several occasions. They are now trying to recoup this money when the incident occurred in 2003. This person was indeed involved in another auto accident and didn't report the incident and now the insurance company is trying to say that I was the cause of her vehicle being totalled as they claimed in August.
