Will not refund money ricmond

During June we found a 2006 Lexus GX 470 on CarMax's website. This vehicle was black with 9800 miles and had all the options we wanted. The only problem was location. We were in Virginia and the GX was in Las Vegas. The salesman has the LV CarMax do a Walkaround inspection, which was a very thorough inspection (we were told).

The transfer began with an $829.00 fee put on our credit card (non refundable). It took about two weeks. The salesman called and told us it was there and to come pick it up.

We were shocked when we saw it. The vehicle was full of buff marks, but there was a deep and long scratch on the right rear bumper. We test drove it. The wood on the steering wheel was warped. When you accelerated, the vehicle hesitated. When you got to 60 mph, the vehicle shook. There was also a button which lowered the GX or raised it. When pressed, the GX clunked. We brought all of there concerns up to the salesman. He said that they could rewax to remove the buff marks. The scratch was not up to CARMAX standards, so they would repaint the bumper. The steering wheel was the nature of the wood, and for us to take it to a Lexus dealership and see if they would cover that under warrenty. The other issues would work out after driving if a couple of weeks.

The vehicle had been sitting and carbon monoxide had built up in it. We told him we didn't feel comfortable with Carmax's excuses and we felt that they should refund our money because the scratch alone he said was not up to their standards. I've spoken with the GM and a complaint line and not a single person will give us our money back.

We ended up going to a Lexus dealership, buying new... Extremely happy.
