Enterprise Rent A Car
Same old rip-off

I had rebuttaled to a report on Enterprise a few months ago. I told them my experience with this company, since then they have struck again!

We have a new Ford, unfortunately, we've had it in the shop numerous times (A FOCUS of course), each time Ford has to rent us a car. Back on September of for 9 days, Ford did that. They have an account with Enterprise, so that's where we have to go. Months later, I started getting bills for over $600.

I spoke with the manager at that time, Tim, who on several occassions assured me he had straightened it out. The last time I spoke to him was in November. I thought everything was corrected since I did not receive anything else from them.

Yesturday, I had a message on my recorded demanding me to call a Ms. Bongard. I did. Come to find out, this was MAB which is a collection agency for Enterprise. She tells me that I owe $179 and if I did not pay it today, they would place this on my credit report. I asked her, first, I had never heard anything back from Enterprise. Second, I had never received any such bill for Enterprise since. And Finally, I had never received anything from this collection agency.

She read off my address. It was had the numbers backwards, the address incomplete, and the wrong city. Duh! No wonder I didn't receive anything. She tells me that I most have given them a fake address. I said, "Look, I received bills prior to this one, and they take my drivers liceanse, so don't give me that crap." She changed her tone after I explained everything that had been going on with Enterprise. She said that I needed them to call her by the time she left.

I call Enterprise. A man answers, gets all my information, and tells me he'll call me back in 15 minutes. An hour and a half goes by, I haven't heard anything, so I call them back. Another man answers the phone and tells me he'll also call me back. He also stated that no one named Tim ever worked there.

He calls me back a few minutes later and says that he sees that Tim left messages on my account. He said that Tim's notes were that he called me in February and told me that Ford never paid. I told him, that conversation never happened. I also told him that the last I spoke to Tim, I asked him for his managers name and number and he gave me a fake name and a number to someones home. I also told him that Ford called there 3 weeks ago when I was in an accident and they told them that neither myself nor Ford has any outstanding balances. He tells me he'll call back again.

Again he called back, he now says he has to have the collection department call me and that won't be til Monday. I told him, someone needed to call the MAB place and have this removed, he says he can't their the only one's that can.

Basically, I haven't heard anything, this is being placed on my credit report, and there's nothing I can do about it. Wrong, I've spoke with Ford, they said, they did pay a bill for $200 and some dollars, he would have their main office fax him the paid recite copy first thing Monday and he'll show Enterprise, he also said, he'll speak to them about their last conversation 3 weeks ago.

Enterprise appearently makes a habit of trying to screw people out of money. Not this person.
