Ripoff dishonest ripoffs

I stopped at Martin Tire Co. Because my car was not starting properly. If I had shut it off one more time I was affraid that it may not start again.

It was a Saturday, and they were one of the few co. Open that day in my neighborhood. I wanted to have the car fixed before work on Mon. Obviously, they sensed my urgency, and proceeded to try to rip me off.

The man spent all of 30 seconds under the hood of my car before concluding that the problem was my alternator. I had just replaced that part less than 6mo. Before, and I was sure that this was not the problem.

When I began to ask questions regarding his decision, the man became angry with me and began to argue. My car had its original battery in it, so I asked if this could possibly be the cause of my problem. Now irrate at my attempt to get a straight answer the man became very rude to me. He refused to give me a quote for the work, and tried to pull my car into the garage against my will.

Due to his actions, I refused to let him near my car, and he told me that for his 3 min of time I owed him $15. I tried to write a check or use my credit card but he quite rudely told me cash only. He began yelling at me in front of other customers when I told him I had no cash on me, only the other two options. Had he told me prior to this point that I would be paying for this obviously false info, I may have had some cash.

When I returned home, I placed a new battery in my car and am pleased to say, that was the only problem. Had Ileft the car at this garage, I would have been charged upwards of $400.00 for what was only a bad battery.

I will never again set foot in this auto establishment and I will continue to warn others about this ripoff artist as well.
