Grosly overcharged for truck repair Ripoff Salt Lake City Halliday Halliday Central City

On May 24 while traveling toward Salt Lake City The transfer case on my Chevy 3/4 Ton PU started jumping out of gear. I took my truck to Tanner Transmission in Central city Utah for diagnosis. They removed the transfer case and informed me that I would need a rebuilt unit as the old one was ruined. I had them install a rebuilt unit. I was under some time constraints as the truck and I needed to be in Las Vegas as soon as possible. When the installation was completed I paid the bill and left. Later I was able to check several other sources to check the price of a rebuilt transfer case. These other sources quoted me between $875.00 and $950.00 for the unit. I paid Tanner Tranmission $1985.00 for the unit plus installation for at total of $2400.00. I have asked Tanner Tranmission to explain why I was charged so much but I have not received a reply
