Glen B bad quad engine, Not willing to resolve Poor customer service ripoff

Purchased a 110cc quad engine off of ebay from ATVDISCOUNTER on April 11- Paid for the item immediately. The item was shipped in a timely manner but the problems started when the engine would not start. After phone discussions with them they asked me, or a local mechanic, to troubleshoot the problem. After a couple weeks and working with some mechanic acquaintances, we located the engine issue - the intake valve leaked / bad compression.

We worked out an arrangement for me to send the engine back to them for warranty replacement - Everything was good up to this point (a working engine would have been better - but understand that problems wiil occur)

The engine was shipped back and received by their office on the 25th of May. I placed calls to the office over the next 3 weeks and finally got a hold of their parts / service manager Rob G. (on Wed. June 13th) and he mentioned that there were parts missing. I asked them to send me a description of the missing parts as well as pictures because I had made sure that the engine was complete before I shipped it back.

Two days later on the 15th of June I received an email with pictures of the engine showing a missing valve rocker cover - I only removed and replaced the adjustment covers during my troubleshooting. The valve rocker cover they claim was missing was never removed by me during the troubleshooting period.

I emailed a response explaining this and the real problems started. They became very defensive and emailed me that I could either pay for these parts or receive a replacement engine without them. Many emails later, I submitted - they had my money and my engine, what were my options - I emailed them to send me the engine without the "missing" peices and I would find them locally. They had this engine in their possession for 3 WEEKS before any mention of missing parts. 3 WEEKS!

I then filed a negative report regarding the ebay transaction and then they really started the email assault and scalding ebay rebuttal claiming that I was scamming them by sending a "used" engine back to them. They have since stated that they are sending back the faulty engine and will not warranty it because of the missing parts.

Summary - They communicated fine until an actual problem arose, and instead of resolving the issue they chose to stop returning phone calls and resorted to firing off emails accusing me of fraud. I have yet to receive a call from Glenn B. To discuss this. He instead emails insults insinuating that I am a liar and cheat.

I have filed a claim with the Better Business Bureau of Forth Worth Texas and recommend this to anyone else experiencing this level of service from the people at ATVDISCOUNTER.
