Undependable, no customer service, deceptive

Initial contact with DAS was good after dealing with another transport service. Car (a1968 Corvette) was picked up after 2 attempts. First attempt, parking brake wouldn't hold so driver would not take car. Second time car was pickedup and held in their depot for over 6 weeks before it was shipped. DAS informed us we would have to send car through Special Logistics on a flatbed for an additional charge because of the parking brake problem. We agreed to the flatbed delivery.

It was a month after we agreed to the flatebed shipping before car was shipped. We had also paid for door to door service to my daughter's home in California. My daughter was called by the driver to come pickup my car since he couldn't deliver to her home. He was on the service road of Route80. My daughter picked up the car from the driver. The car was on a multilevel car carrier not a FLATBED.

We contacted DAS customer service and they promised to have a supevisor call me. After 2 more calls to DAS and no call from a supervisor returned to me, they offered me $20 for gas for picking up the car.

Tried to dispute charges through credit card company but after 6 months of letter writing, the credit card company said it was a customer service problem and I should deal directly with merchant. The credit card company also stated that DAS never responded to any of their letters. Sent DAS a certified letter and after 2 months have had no reply. Made 3 phone calls to DAS and held over 10 minutes each call and never got a customer service rep. Don't think they have a customer service department! Can't even contact customer service online, no link to them.

Searching for coporate address found alot of complaints on Epinion.com about DAS. At least my vehicle wasn't damaged but they charge you for services they do not provide.
