Cars & Transport

I want to start off by backing up the claims that are already on this website again Cross Country Auto Transport. We have had EXACTLY the same problems. They have you sign a contract and give you a pickup date of your vehicle. They state that you will receive a call 24 hrs ahead from the date of pickup.in my situation I NEVER received a call and the pick up date came and went and no contact from Cross Country. I contact Cross Country and spoke with Nicole in CS. I was very angry and the only thing she kept telling me was "the contract has ESTIMATED pickup". I inquired on why I had not received any communication from her company on when the "ESTIMATED" pickup had changed and she stated the driver was running late. I stated "this is my problem because of why". I got so frustrated with her that I requested a call from a supervisor immediately. As of yet I have NOT received a call from a supervisor. My car is at this moment in transit. Cross Country called me 2 days ago and stated the driver would finally pick the car up. Original pickup date was 4/5-6/06 and it was finally picked up on 4/12/05. The driver stated to the pickup party that the car would be delivered on the 14th or 15th. When I called the driver to confirm the delivery he stated now it would be the 16th. This is now approximately 10 days past the date that was quoted on the contract. I was quoted $995 and put $200 deposit down. The driver stated that I owe $800 at delivery. $995-$200 is not $800. I have tried contacting Cross Country and get a recorder for their custoemr service department, but the funny thing is that I go right to a live person to get a quote. I asked the person in the quote department to patch me through to a LIVE PERSON and he said he would have to take a number and have them call me back. I told him it better be ASAP and he said it would take 2 minutes. Well it's been 2 hrs and I haven't received a call yet. A piece I forgot was that the customer service agent Nicole told me for the first excuse on why the car hadn't been picked up was because the Brooke Jones that originally did my contract had been fired and had the file in her desk. I again asked her WHY THIS WAS MY PROBLEM!!!

I would agree that this company has major issues that if they want to stay in business need to resolve. First is delivery guarantees and contractual agreements, customer service that actually answers your calls and questions in a professional manner and stand behind their business.

At this point, I am going to keep calling and hounding till I get a person with answers. But I would suggest that you do not use this company if you want a reliable and reputable company with good moral values and good faith efforts to insure they are doing good business while they gladly take your money!!!
