I purchased a motorcyle commmunication system from J&M Corporation (JMCB 2003). The helmet attachment comes loose along with all the wires and microphone and can hit the driver in the face while operating a motorcycle. Besides the safety issues - the helmet skirt assemply simply does not work well as a communication product that it is sold for. Their product requires physical modication to a DOT approved helment. When I requested credit for an acceptable product, I received the non-professional (down right snotty) response from the company president in the email below. J&M Corp offers a mere 30 day warranty for a seasonal product. They then have nasty, aggressive custoemr service if one requests assistance.

John, I have attempted to resolve this in a cordial way. I really do not care for your attitude on this matter or your customer service philosophy. I have worked as a design engineer in consumer products for many years. If this is your position, I will be contacting the Better Business Bureau, Consumer Product Saftey Commission (the wires and unsecure componets create a hazard which is my primary concern), motorcycle foundation any every other consumer organization I can locate.in addition, I'm going to post this email with your response and pictures of your shoddy product on a web site to warn future consumers.

I will begin these actions tomorrow if I do not hear back from you.

That is the way shorty-style helmets are. They are not going to give you the same quality of sound as the Arai open face are for instance,

Hi John,

I was referred to you by one of your service representatives. I purchased two of your JMCB 2003 radio systems in early July from a Harley Davidson dealer (radio, cords, antennas). Near the end of the season in late July, I purchased helmet skirts with integrated headsets and utilized JM Corps service to exchange the zippers to fit our helmets.

Overall, I have been pleaased with the system. However, we find that the headset assemply in the helmet skirts tend to detract from the overall system quality. The microphone and cords are difficult to manage and we have troouble with wind noise around the ears.

I would like to return the two helmet skirt assemblies for credit towards two KBC Tourcom helmets. Your service representative said that you have a 30 day return policy. I am requesting that you consider that I live in Northern Nevada where we have a short riding season that ended in September of last year. We have only used these headsets on three or four outings. Gvent the investment that I have made to date in radio equipment, I would like to be completely satisfied with the system.
