Toyota - Irving Toyota Corporate ripoff Did not complete repairs resulting in breakdown while out of town

On Jan 25th and again on Feb 8th we took my 1993 Camry in for overheating problems. On Jan 25th they claimed they could not recreate the problem, so it did not exist and did nothing. On Feb 8th it was overheating when it arrived at the dealership and they replaced the thermostat only, and not did any testing to see if anything else was wrong.

Turns out the problem was a blown headgasket, which we discovered when it overheated again 300 miles from home in Amarillo, TX on Feb 12th. The Toyota dealer in Amarillo did the necessary tests to determine the cause and told us that was the problem from the beginning, even though at the time it was not overheating. We had to rent a car in order to complete our trip and that was another nightmare all by itself (see enterprise deceptive billing)

I had filed a formal complaint with Toyota Corporate on Feb 12th as I expect them to pay for the rental and 3 weeks later they still have not made any attempt to resolve my dispute, claiming that the Customer Service Manager from the Irving location would be calling me. So far no call.

This is not the first time I have had a problem with bad service at a Toyota dealership, however that time Corporate took care of the complaint immediately instead of making us wait
