Ripoff, fraud, bait and switch

Company uses fraudelent practices bait and switch tactics and refuses to return funds until threatened with legal actions.

On May 10 I purchased a engine for my truck for $1.950.00
and was told it would ship to me the next day. The purchase was chargwed to my credit card the very same day.
After 10 days I called about delivery, after they placed me on hold for an extended period i was then told the motor I bought was not available but a similar one was but had an additional 30,000 miles and would now cost me an additional $550.00.

Since I seemed to be between a rock and hard place I said i would split the diferencesince I had a sales agreement for $1950.00. They told me they would not do it as the new one would be sold to me at their cost. Reluctantly I agreed and engine was to ship next day.

12 more days passed, Called about delivery and was put on hold again-guess what I was told this engine did not ship to me and was not available but once again they had another one with another 15,000 miles and again for more money.

At this time i was very upset a d wanted the owner, could only leave a voice message several times and finally spoke to him and he told me this engine would be the new price and would not sell at their cost and if i did not like it to bad even though i had an original sales agreement for $1,950.00.

I told him i wanted an immediate refund to my credit card and he agreed. This was on June 19 5 weeks after charge was 1st made.
After approximately 20phone calls later and 70 days i threatened legal action and credit was made to my account on July, 23rd. 2002

Do not do business with these crooked deceitful people
during my experience I checked them on the BBB website and they have a littany of complaints including mine but it does not show the details as the BBB somewhat protects the businnesses that pay them annual dues.
