Mike Pham and John contacted me from an ad which I ran in the LA Times. On May 8 Mike called me to tell me about how their program worked. I was very hesitant about the company and how the whole program worked so I asked him to email me more information about the company and their program. I received an email on May 8 which included detailed information about the company and the lease program, FAQ's, and a copy of the contract. I went back and forth with him to verify the corporation information, referrals, and most important the Better Business Bureau which gave them an A Rating at the time. I even asked for Mike to provide me with a copy of John's Driver License and got his Social Security Number (they declined my request to run his credit report) and I called to speak to John to question him about the program. After much research, I decided to go ahead and enter the program.

I entered into contract on my SL55 AMG with NAS and John "Jack" Griffin on May 12. Mike Pham and his Assistant Victoria arrived in a Black BMW to pick up the car late in the afternoon. They stated that they had to drive to San Jose to drop off the car to get it detailed for John. They told me that they were going to drop off the car to John in the morning and that they would do a three way conference call to assure me that the car was transferred to John. Mike never called me that morning so I called him and he informed me that the transfer had already happened.instead of making a big stink about the situation, I figured that I would just wait to see if they would make their first car payment.

The May, June, and July payment were made (a couple of days late but it was made).in July the payment was really late so when I asked him make the payments on time he requested that I make the payments and NAS would reimburse me.in August NAS and John failed to make the payment, I called Mike to find out what was going on and he told me that the check was sent out on the 25th of August. He told me he would do his research and get back to me ASAP. On September 12 Mike emailed me and told me that his assistant was working on tracking down the check and payment will be made no later than September 15. When he stopped returning my calls, I started to feel uncomfortable so I went online to see if there were any other contact numbers. To my surprise all the numbers for NAS were disconnected, so I tried John contact numbers which were also disconnected. The fax number now was a line to their new business which is Auto Management Group (AMG). They also have a website which is www.auto-management-group.com and it contains the same info as the NAS website but now had an A Rating from BBB. From the list of 4 referrals that Mike gave me only 2 of the 4 numbers were still working. I sent out a certified letter to John and NAS to cancel my contract on September 14.

I checked with Better Business Bureau on NAS and found out that they now had a D Rating. I made a call to the BBB to complain about NAS and AMG being the same company. They said that they have several complaints on NAS and will merge the two files (NAS & AMG) together. I also emailed all the conversations (via email) that I had on file to the BBB. When I asked if I could get a copy of the complaints and contact of people involved they told me to have the attorney to subpoena the records from them. I really am not sure on how the BBB protects consumers like us!

I also made a personally trip to John's house on September 18 and found out that John did not reside at the property. I found out that the new residents just moved in on August 12. On September 19 I received the certified letter back with a MOVED, LEFT NO ADDRESS from John.By this time Mike had stopped returning my phone calls and I still can't reach him. During our last conversation, Mike was extremely unprofessional and started using profanity. I also caught him in a lie and he told me that NAS was no longer in business but in an earlier conversation he said that the two companies were merging together. He said that Steve Rivera the President of NAS left and closed up shop. AMG is a sole and separate company and that he can't honor the contract with NAS and that I would have to contact Steve Rivera. He seems to be lying and trying to cover up his lies from pervious conversations.

I hope no one becomes a victim to this scam. I would love to build a case with my attorney if you are also a victim of this scam. Please email me so that we can further the situation.
