Inexperienced machanics blow engine, ripoff

I went to Midas, because water from a large puddle got into my car. They ran a diagnostics ($89.00), they found the problem. The machanic told me if I he changed a wire ($260.00) it would correct the problem.

The machanic reves up my engine for 5-10mins. To burn oil in cyclinders. They change my air filter ($20.00). It didn't help the problem. When they finally spoke with me they wanted to run another test ($95.00) for something they messed up on.

In summary I spent $370.00 and they didn't do any thing but make my car worse. They refuse to refund me my money. I really think they owe me a new engine.
