Just Brakes is a SHAM! Their claims of $99.98 brake service are a joke. I went in complaining of brake noise, and I was told that the standard service ($99.98) should cure my problems. After my car was on the lift, upon further inspection, I was told of special brake pads that would cost extra. (Iwas told on the phone & in person that special pads were not necessary for my make and model - $76.80 extra). After some consultation, I decided to go ahead with the extra cost.

Approximately one hour later, upon even further inspection, I was told that I needed special parking brake shoes, that would also cost extra ($166). Next, after another hour, and more inspection, I was told that I needed a special rotor for my parking brake ($200 extra), and that this was what really caused all the noise with my brakes. This special rotor was order from a local chevy dealer (that took another two hours!). When it finally arrived I was told that it was the wrong one and the wrong price.

The one that I actually needed was $150.00 more! A job with an estimate of $99.98 has now become $700.00! Finally I said thats enough. I instructed them to forget about the rotor, and let me go home. So after 5 hours, and almost $400, I went home with new, and very expensive brakes, WITH THE SAME NOISE THAT I WENT IN WITH! The story does not end there. When I got home, I realized that my CD Case had been lifted. So I actually got ripped off twice! Just Brakes is a SHAM, and something should be done!
