Classic Personal Loan, Carlos Herrera Loan shark loans money on vehicles and never intends to return property and charges very high interest rate bad criminal

I took out a collateral loan on my vehicle I owed with Manny, Carlos Herrera. He made it sound really good and we would pay back the loan with in a couple of months. He said he would store our vehicle in a storage unit where it would be safe.

We I mailed the money orders like he asked to a P.O. Box in Rancho Cucamonga and then I called him to ask for an extension which he also said we could do before the payment was due. The day I called Carlos no one called me back. I finally received a call a few days later and he told me we were late on a payment and our vehicle was sold he no longer had it.

I called DMV and they said the vehicle was not sold. I started investigating and found several complaints on the BBB. I found an address located in Rancho Cucamonga and decided to drive by.

As to my surprise my vehicle was sitting in his home driveway. I looked up on San Bernardino county court house and found a criminal case against someone with the same name. I called the DA office and sure enought its the same man. Recently he has been charged with loansharking on these cases but no jail time served just probation. The DA tried to nogotiate to get my vehicle back and he refuses because he says he put over 10,000.00 into it.

Currently DMV holds my title and he has not transfered it to his name. I am currently going to take civil action. Anyone who can help please try to contact me.
