Should put my daughters' life back togethe

My daughter was rearended be a client of Nationwide, Now Nationwide wants to offer next to nothing to help get her back to the way her life was before the accident.
Now... My daughter is not looking to get rich from somebody's bad judgement, she would just like the insurance company to help her return life to normal.

By the way, she was hurt pretty bad, so it will take a while to return to normal health wise.

Anyway, When she first talked to the insurance adjuster they tried to make it out to be her fault, they said that she may not of had brake lights, but talked to a witness and they confimed that she did have brake lights.

Next they said that they would have a rental car brought over, they called later that night and said that all of the rental cars were out (I find that odd that all of northeast ohio were totally out of rental cars) Here one weeks later, still no rental, no way to get to the doctors, no way to get to college, no freedom.

They totaled her car out and only want to give her what they want to give her and nothing more, Granted, it wasn't the most impressive car in the world but it was safe and it was reliable and not at all a piece of junk, and would still be on the road and serving her well if not for nationwides' client. And they only want give her a fraction of what it would take to replace that car, and they seem to think that we should spend our own money to replace it, We should not have to dish out alot of money for something that was in no way my daughters fault.

Now, I think to be perfectly fare, they should replace her car with an equivalent vehicle, nothing more, nothing less.

Am I wrong in thinking that they should bend over backwards in helping us get everything back together? I don't think I am.
