Required money for service they did not provide, won't refund

Mark dodge mobile is a ripoff! The automobile dealersip Mark Dodge of mobile charged me $379.50 for services they did not provide. When I purchased a vehicle from them they included a documentation fee of $379.50 that they say is payment to their dealership to fill out all required paperwork to properly title the car.

The license bureau of Alabama allows 20 days to pay the title fee, neccessary taxes, and tags, after the 20 days there is a fine and legally you can't operate the vehicle on public streets. Mark Dodge failed to mail the required paperwork to me. Other dealerships I have bought cars from have mailed the paperwork within 10 days. I contacted them on the 19th day and inquired as to where the paperwork was and their response was that there had been a rush of deals and this must have fallen in the cracks. They prepared it for me that day and I went and got it.

On the 20th day I go to the license bureau, hand them the paperwork and they tell me it is wrong and has to be corrected. I contact Mark Dodge, tell them the problem and they are aghast that the license bureau didn't contact them to have the information faxed. I tell them this is the 20th day, and I would like them to pay the penalty imposed by the license bureau and I want my documentation fee back because they did not provide that service in the proper time and the service they provided was faulted. I work full time and have limited time to run errands and I used that limited time to be turned away because of Mark Dodge's error and incompetence.

To recieve the penalty refund I was told to call a manager. When I call the manager they don't take my calls and send my call back to the person who said I needed to call them.

Mark Dodge is an absolute rip off. They will not return calls and you can't talk to a manager or anyone in charge. Buying the car there was a huge mistake and it has cost me in time off work and the fact that I can't drive the vehicle I purchased until their mistakes are corrected. To any prospective car buyers in the Gulf shores area, beware, this is a large, big three chain that does not operate in a professional manner that you would expect.instead they excel in incompetence and criminal acts by requiring $380.00 for services they don't provide. I paid the fee with the understanding they would fulfill their end, they didn't. If I did that I would be in jail.

Luckily, I live 2 miles from the dealership, but if you are from out of the area your headache could be alot worse. Mark dodge ripped me off!!!
