Ripoff I was sold a lemon

I wanted to buy a new car (2001 volkswagen beetle), so I wouldn't have to worry about breaking down. The first couple of weeks I started having problems, and still do. I have had shorts in switches, timing belt replaced, back breaks, and too many others to list, but I have receipts. Discovered there was a recall on the back-up light switch, and the switch they put in after 4 times was not the right switch. I have been stranded because of it (I couldn't get the shifter to move). I lived in Portland at the time a lot of this happend, so it was very inconvient to say the least. I had to get a rental. The seat belt switch had a short, and it was replaced, but now it is in need of fixing again. This has only been in a little over a year.

The mechanic I have now just pointed out to me that there is a recall now on the ABS control unit. I haven't received anything on this. I have had older cars that didn't have these many problems. I would have turned it in a long time ago about being a "Lemon", but didn't have the resources. Just off the top of my head, I have spent well over three - thousand in repairs. I payed $27,068.30, March 21. My mechanic said that he has never had problems like mine with other v.W. S I will never refer anyone to Hanson Motors. I feel they should have helped me in providing me with another car, in that I had been in the service dept. So many times. It was obvious it was a lemon.
