Scammed us out of our money and left us in debt with 2 credit cards and an unfixed car!

My fiance and I had car trouble and went over to Nowka's Automotive to get a price quote. We explained to the owner BOB NOWKA that we have a 1985 Cadillac DeVille and we don't know what is wrong with it. He suggested that he do a diagnostic test on the car. We agreed but CLEARLY stated that if the diagnostic test showed a problem with the motor then we did not want any work further done on the vehicle because we would rather buy a new car for the amount that it cost us to get the motor fixed.

The following day BOB NOWKA called us and told us that everything was fine with the motor and that the car just needed a few pumps changed along with the oil. So we gave him the go ahead because he assured us that it was not a big deal and the car would be up and running fine.

THe next day BOB called us up to pick up the car. Our bill was up to $700.00 just for the diagnostic and the pump change. We were in disbeleif but he wouldnt release the car till we paid. So we had to give in. But 10 minutes after we drove the car out of the shop, the car started smoking up and shaking profusely.

So we turned it around and demanded it be fixed at once. BOB personally came out of the shop and assured us that he would not charge us for his mistake... So he took the car back.

The next day he called us up to pick up the car. When we got there BOB was not there. His secretary however brought us into the office and only released the key after we paid another fee for something that was supposed to be no charge. We were devastated because we had to max out 2 credit cards for this and my fiance did not have a job at the time so we didnt know how we were gonna pay the card off!!!

This time not even 5 minutes after we took the car it started leaking oil, shaking, smoking and making a really loud sound. It even stopped moving in the middle of the street. We were so angry and we called BOBS cell phone. He told us that its not their fault and hes sorry. He promised that if we brought it back in then he would fix it for sure.

We called a tow truck instead and towed it to another automotive company and they had a look at it. They ran a diagnostic test on the vehicle and stated that the car indeed had a problem with the motor all along. It needed to be replaced and that any diagnostic test Nowkas did would have showed that from the beginning. They told us that Nowka's was just trying to get business off of changing things that need not be changed and creating more problems than there was.

Till this day i still owe about $2000. Plus the interest that has overgrown because of NOWKA'S AUTOMOTIVE. They scammed us out of our money and ruined our lives. The credit card company wouldnt even help us with the dispute.

Does anyone know what we should do???!!???!!!
