Charged $250 for alleged scratch on car Ripoff

Similar to the claims posted by others, Budget rent a car alleged that I returned a car scratched. This was not a new car and the so called "scratch" was a smudge mark that one frequenly removes from a car with soap and water. This appears to be the latest scam.
Fortunately, I had rented using a credit card that covered this alleged damage. But just yesterday I received a call requesting $71.00 for the administrative charges that my card insurance would not cover. After I told them what a fraud I thought this was, I told them not to count on getting the $71.00. I will not pay it!
Clearly, this is an incredible rip-off that many car rental companies are engaging in. Even if covered by insurance, this rip-off is costing all consumers in the long run.
