Speedy transmission, fl friend of a friend said he would give a good deal for clutch job. Ha, charged us almost double the price for parts!

On july 1 we had our 1990 chevy beretta gtz toed home 13 miles after our clutch had went at a light. A family member new a person with a business that fixes theses problems. That's when we called up frank of speedy transmissions. They picked up my car and toed it to their shop. The next day we get a phone call to come in and look at it with him. We were told that we definatly needed a new clutch kit, salve cylinder, master cylinder, fly wheel, release fork, and a few other small things. Also while he had the car apart we should replace the left axle and oil pressure guage since they were in bad shape. "ill give you a good deal since your expecting a baby" and i know your... (let's say family member) well". It will be aprox. $1500.00 most likley alot less but no more than $1500.00. Nice guy huh? Try to save us $? Bull sh@*!!! So the next day we give him a $500.00 deposit which he requested for the cost of parts. He fixes the car and we get it back. Being that my fiance knows quite a lot about fixing cars questions the prices of the parts. So he calls the chevy dealer, which any chevy owner knows has the most exspensive prices for parts. We'll it turns out we paid almost double for everything compaired to chevys prices. How can a friend of the family or any reputible business do that to anyone. 2 axle seals chevy-$15.66 speedy-$40.00. Left axle chevy-$90.00 speedy-$175.00. Slave cylinder chevy-$82.25 speedy-112.00. Master cylinder chevy-$93.00 speedy-$128.00. Release fork chevy-$67.00 speedy $95.00. How can speedy mark up prices that high. I got no deal from this rip off business like he said. I've only had the car back two days. Let's see if in two months i'm not on here again complaining about more problems what an injustice.
