My name is Sherry (ROR REDACTED FULL NAME) and I am a resident of Indianapolis, Indiana. I recently purchased a vehicle from Bud's Auto Sales at 3802 E. 10th Street, Indianapolis, IN 46201. The car I purchased is a 1997 Mercury Sable. I didn't purchase the vehicle as-is, and the car has had a bunch of trouble with it.

In good condition Kelley Blue Book quotes my car as being worth $3,600 with its current mileage. I suspect that the car has been totalled at one time because the whole right rear quarter has bondo all over it and it's been painted over. It was found that the car was put back together with Bondo because the edge of the bondo can still be seen under the paint.

Also, there is a giant air bubble in the bondo job and the paint is just chipping off the rear bumper as if it was never primered before putting the car together. The car also has an electric problem with it. I've had a lot of things done to it, and the car lot has already gotten over $4,000 from me and they're wanting another $2,500 from me.

They are even threatening to come and repossess my car with me only missing one payment after OVERPAYING for the car, knowing I have a 3 year-old daughter to take care of and that being my only transportation. I am supposed to receive child support on my little girl but because her father is locked up, I'm not getting anything and I'm temporarily unable to get a job due to a head injury sustained in December at a gas station, which the case is still pending with my lawyer.

The car lot never told me that the car had been totalled. I looked up the car on (VARIOUS SITES) and there are 19 records shown for the car on the last 2 websites listed and only 9 on &. The car has an electrical problem with the driver's door. I've had to have new brake calipers put on the rear, new fuel filter, new spark plugs, new alternator, new transmission filter and gasket, and a few other things done.

The car has almost 164,000 miles on it and has some problems with it and it's not worth what the car lot is trying to stick me for. I feel as though they lied to me and had no intention of telling me about the electrical problem the car has and also that it more than likely would not hold together in the event of an accident. I am looking to see what can be done to deal with this matter.

I have not just myself to worry about, but a 3 year-old little girl as well. I'm worried about the back of my car because that is where my child rides and I don't want to overpay for a vehicle and then in an accident, have it bust apart and my daughter in danger because of the car lot's negligence. Please send me information of what I may be able to do to pursue this matter to save my vehicle, without having to pay out another $2,500 on the car.

It's not worth that kind of money with the damage that it's been found to have and not due to myself, plus with the problems it's having, I feel the car is only worth a total of $2,200, not the nearly $7,000 they're trying to take me for on it.
